Restful Week

Laurence had a restful week. He made a couple of trips to the clinic for blood work. Chemo depletes any bad cells but unfortunately zaps the body of energy.

We are grateful for gracious friends, continued prayers and for God's Grace.
Blessings.

Sunday

Laurence is at the clinic completing a week of chemo. He is looking forward to finishing up and heading home for a good night's sleep.

Thanks for your continued prayers. We are sending many prayers to you in return.
Blessings.

March Madness

Laurence finished his first day back receiving chemo. Although the schedule is grueling, the process is flowing easily. He has a day of rest and then back to the clinic on Friday.

Personally, I think March Madness is a much better name for a spectacular day of shopping at Macy's. Although I think I understand the madness part...

Anyway, if you are up for shopping, give me a call.
Hugs.

Back for Chemo

Laurence left for chemotherapy treatment this morning. He will be there about six hours. He'll come home to rest and have dinner and then return tonight for another six hours.

The acronym for chemo is: Christ Has Everything Miraculously Ordered
Praise God!

Please know with me that his time at the clinic flows with ease and grace and everything that is needed is already provided. Thank you. Blessings to you for a grace-filled day.

Good Weekend

We enjoyed our weekend. We were able to get out and see a movie on Friday and went out to dinner today. Laurence will have labs done tomorrow to see if his blood level is adequate for another round of chemo.

It's time for a smile and a grandkids photo. Great reminder of the important things in life.
Hugs.

Holding Pattern

Laurence saw his oncologist yesterday. His blood level and other stats looked good.

Laurence will start chemo again next week. We are in a holding pattern until a donor is found. Scheduling will take place about six to eight weeks out once we have the donor.

Thanks for your continued prayers. Blessings and hugs.

National Bone Marrow Registry

Laurence had his blood tested on Thursday and again on Saturday. His level was low on Saturday so he received two units. He rested today.

Several friends have asked about being a bone marrow donor. The National Bone Marrow registry has a list of requirements and answers to frequently asked questions. Unfortunately, only the patient's family is tested to find a match for the patient. You are welcome to be tested for the national registry and have your name put on a list. It is an awesome gift and can help save someone's life.

In the meantime, please know with us that a donor is located with ease and grace. Thanks for your willingness, your prayers and partnership.

Peaceful Dreams

Laurence saw his oncologist today. Last week's heart symptoms seem to be a result of his meds which have been adjusted. He is doing well. Laurence will be back for labs on Thursday to check his blood levels.

Here I am sitting at my desk and chatting away to Laurence in the other room only to walk in and find him sound asleep. I wish I could fall asleep so quickly...

Here's to restful sleep and peaceful dreams.
Blessings.
